Parexel International Corporation largest clinical research organisation in the world has joined hands with Ahmedabad based CRO Synchron Research Services Pvt. Ltd. for acquiring a majority stake in a newly formed JV entity to be called as “ Parexel International Synchron Pvt. Ltd.”

Synchron was established by Shivaprakash Rathnam in 1988 with a view to provide services like Phase I-IV clinical research including regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and statistical analysis and data management capabilities. It also conducts clinical pharmacology research unit for conducting bioequivalence, bioavailability and pharmacokinectic studies.

Parexel intention is for a long term commitment to clinical development in India but also to provide global reach to bio/ pharmaceutical and medical device companies’ world wide. Parexel-Synchron will be acquiring the Synchron trial business operations in Bangalore also.
